Monetary giving & artifact donations
We Thank You For Your Generosity!

Summerville is a wonderful place to live full of historic sites, beautiful houses, serene landscapes, and some of the most remarkable men, women and children. Our mission is to keep their stories alive for generations to come. In order to do so, we rely a lot on the generous and supportive people who donate to and patron our museum .
The city, the county and other philanthropic organizations have been most generous in providing “grants” which have provided many funds that we used to finish the Garden House, make renovations inside, and more. For that, we are most grateful.
However, unfortunately, these “grants” do not pay for everyday “operation expenses” like electricity, phone, water, salaries and supplies. To meet these expenses, the museum must rely on the Entrance Fees, Room Rentals, Cash Donations and “Gifts.”
Please consider making a donation to keep our museum around for the future.

Artifact Donation FAQ
Please consider the criteria list above before submitting your object to the museum for our collection. The museum is an educational institution and as such, we must take careful consideration in what we add to our collections in order to ensure that it will not only have historical significance but be a useful tool in instructing visitors on Summerville’s past.
