Welcome to the Second Annual Summerville Historic Homes and Gardens Tour, proudly sponsored by the Summerville Museum and Research Center. Today’s tour offers a special opportunity to step back in time and experience the charm, craftsmanship, and stories that have shaped Summerville’s rich heritage. As you explore these beautifully preserved homes and gardens, we invite you to appreciate not only their architectural beauty but also the generations of families and community members who have cared for them. The Summerville Museum and Research Center is honored to share this celebration of local history with you and hopes that today’s tour deepens your appreciation for the people, places, and traditions that make Summerville such a treasured community.

The weekend kicks off with a Garden Party at Linwood Inn on Thursday, March 4, featuring live entertainment and light refreshments. In addition to the home and garden tours, guided Historic Downtown Walking Tours will be offered each morning beginning at the Summerville Museum, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the town’s rich history and historic landmarks.

For added convenience, trolley service will provide transportation between Bethany Methodist Church and the tour homes and gardens. The trolley will begin service at 10:00 a.m. and run continuously every 20 minutes until 2:00 p.m., making it easy for guests to enjoy each stop along the tour.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Summerville Museum and Research Center, supporting its educational programs, community outreach, and historic preservation efforts that keep Summerville’s heritage alive for future generations.
